Di Palo in Frasca is a research-oriented exhibition series that reflects upon Italy as a site for cultural production.

Di Palo in Frasca, launched in 2021 is a research-based exhibition series that reflects upon Italy as a site for cultural production. Designed to give space to artists of African descent taking part in international residencies across the country, each exhibition is realized through dialogue with the artists’ studio practice and supported by programming along with the expansion of the center’s library. Generative of a liminal space between an open studio and an exhibition, the series invites each artist to share research, sketches, and preparatory materials that are not generally a part of an exhibition in order to focus on the labor of art and visual elaboration of artistic research that typifies the transitory nature of residencies.
