introducing La Riscoperta del Pianeta

Introduction to The Rediscovery Planet
The Rediscovery Planet is the space dedicated to childhood and adolescence to hope for the participation and involvement of a very young audience within the cultural center The Recovery Plan which over the years has also dedicated events for boys and girls. The center hosts a shelf enriched by books for infants, toddlers, preschool children, school aged and teenagers that come in its most consistent part from donations by the Drosselmeier Academy, a wonderful structural contribution that has been going on since 2022 to today in the cultural dissemination that the BHMF Association deals with. This format was curated by Marzia d. L. R. Duarte is part of a research work on the representation of Afro-descendant culture in books for the very young but above all of the depiction of Afro protagonists and different stories that make the imagination take off thanks to the possibility of identifying and that also allow the creation of maps that orient beyond stereotypes and promote new practices of exercising citizenship.
The Recovery plan has advanced workshops, readings and programming across the years dedicated to the engagement of young audiences and to supporting education efforts. This work has, in large part, been advanced by pedagogist Marzia da Luz Ramos Duarte who in 2021 launched the new platform called The Rediscovery Planet. This branch of our work is supported by an extensive library, monthly programming and newly formed efforts towards collaborating with local schools.
